Junior Girls Results

Two Milngavie golfers  - KIRSTIN SCOTT and ROBYN MICHIE were selected for the D&A Junior County team this week to play in the Kennedy Salver at Clober GC. THis is a competition between the 4 Counties in the West of Scotland - D&A, Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were absolutely horrendous and the morning's foursomes were restricted to 9 holes. (Kirstin won her match, but Robyn just lost on the 9th) The rain eventually stopped in the afternoon and Robyn won her singles match, while Kirstin just lost 2 and 1.
Robyn has been doing really well in the Junior County League Medals and has qualified for both the Scratch and the Handicap categories at Finals Day.
 
Kirstin meanwhile has had a superb season. Here is just a sample of her achievements
 
Defeated in the FINAL of the County Championships in April (Her opponent was Kylie Walker who is in the GB and I team!!! and Kirstin took her to the 16th hole)
Represented the West of Scotland Girls in the annual match v the East
Represented the West of Scotland Girls in the quadrangular competition v North, South and East
Represented East Dumbartonshire at the Scottish Schools and came 10th  overall
Plays for the Greenlees team AND the JJ McCarry team at Milngavie GC

Robyn Michie won 1st handicap in the Junior Girls County Medal at Douglas Park last Saturday. She was 4 under par and qualifies for the Finals Day in September.
Robyn has also been selected for the County Junior Team which will compete in the Kennedy Salver against Renfrewahire, Lanarkshire and Ayrshire. Kirsten Scott of Milngavie is also in the team.

 
The coaching sessions for Junior girls will have their last meeting on Tuesday, June 16th
