Thomson-McCrone Team Fixtures and Results 2010

The Thomson Mc Crone team won their last home game of this years campaign against Dumbarton 5 - 0 on Sunday. Both teams found the course in great condition and complemented Wallace and the lads. As always the catering was superb so many thanks to Hugh, Anne and staff.

 Great start in the Mc Crone league with Milngavie winning the first 3 matches. We play Dumbarton at home this weekend.

T-M Final 2009 

Vale of Leven won the final 3.5 v 1.5 today at Cawder. Reserve match was halved.

The match was very close all day and came down to the last hole in 4 out of the 6 matches. Unfortunately the team just missed out in making it back to back league titles, it's been a great effort by all the guys who have played for the club over the last two campaigns.

All the team would like to thank Jamie Murray ( Convenor ) for doing a great job captaining the team over the last three seasons where we have been so successful.
The team would also like to thank Jimmy Crawford, Arthur Chapman for coming along and supporting the team. It has been said to me by various opponents how good it is that our Captain, Vice Captain have taken the time out to come along and give there support.

Thanks to the members for there interest and best wishes especially Greg Valente, Phil Ward, Kenny Robertson, Stuart Mc Gregor and Norman Thirwell who all came along today to lend there support, sorry we came up just short.

We defeated Hilton Park yesterday at The Vale of Leven yesterday 3.5 v 1.5, to get in to our second final in succession.

Arthur was called in to play at the last minute as someone failed to appear. He played with Simon Ward in the reserve match and I believe was on the verge of winning when they got the all clear that the match was won. If the match had been tied it would have came down to this game. Just shows our youth policy continues to work!

Be aware, if any of you come to the final keep your clubs handy. Arthur had to use Norman's clubs ( Norman made a good caddy ).

 We won 5 - 0 against Bishopbriggs today. I think we have won the group!

Milngavie  4.5 v Palacerigg .5        = 2 points for a home win

Cardross 1  v Milngavie 4              = 3 points for an away win.
