The inaugural outing of 2174 took place in April over four days. The trip to Aviemore was organised superbly well by Kenny Fraser, with match and handicap duties ably performed by James Mitchell esq.
An interesting combination of Stableford and Ryder cup points format for individuals and teams kept everyone on their toes and involved. Outright winner by a country mile in the Stableford was Gordon "bomber" Bell. The team competiton went to the last day and was won by 21.
