MGC's friend in Olso, Stein Morisse, is cleary as much of a golf nut as we are, or possibly more so. Stein recently travelled with a group of friends way up North to Tromso. Stein sent us some pictures from the trip to Tromsø to play midnight golf where the sun doesn't set at mid summer.
Hello Tam...
Our journey towards North Norway has started, and we had our first stop at Skeikampen were we played golf at 900 meters above sea level, which means that the greens were not at their best yet...the guy with the hat is me with my lucky hat, pluss it helps me from getting sun burned :o)
Now we are in Sweden and will play in Lappland tomorrow were the mosquitos are bigger than you can imagen...
More travel news will appear on your computer as we head north...

A kindred spirit....

On our tour to Tromsø we made a stop and played this course, a 9 hole course up i North-Sweden. There we got a golf deal with dinner, room, breakfest and golf for only 65 pounds pp. And absolutly value for money..still 500 miles to go, and have made a booking for thenext night in a place I can't spell....strange names up here in Lappland.

....if you wonder where the midgies are you can take a look at my car..

In Tromsø were we are playing you can't see the differense between night and day....teeoff 8.00 PM and finish at 4.00 AM...

MGC says many thanks to Stein. A very special golf trip! No word of the golf scores though :-)
