19th Hole
Kingarrock, A golfing experience.
From MGC Member and Past Captain, John Hamilton:
You must try Kingarrock, near Cupar, Fife - at Hill of Tarvit. www.kingarrock.com
My wife and I played the course to-day - it is 9 holes - Kingarrock course played with hickory shafted golf clubs. A tremendous experience.
The shop has all the golf memorabilia, books, etc etc you can imagine. To play the course, hire the hickory shafted golf clubs and old fashion golf bag, three 1890's golf balls or three 1920's golf balls, the reddy tees, a dram or port before the game and original ginger beer and short bread after the game - £20.00! Unbelievable value. £10.00 if you bring your own hickory clubs and a free "wrapped ball" if you turn up and play in 1920's costume.
It has the full support of the Royal and Ancient and SGU, and MGC promote it as part of supporting the evolution of golf in Scotland.
