MGC members raise funds for Mary's Meals

The Milngavie Golf Club held it's annual Member / Guest competition on Saturday 12th June 2010.
Over 230 competitors enjoyed a successful event in glorious weather.
The Bill Blaikie trophy was won by Ian Holt and G Colquoun with 44 stableford points and the runners up were Duncan Morrison and G Montgomery with 43 points.
The Sponsors Cup was won by P Larkin and B Hendry of Galloway Crystal & Glass.
 
A raffle held on the day raised over £1,200 for Mary's Meals, which is a Scottish based charity that provides nearly 400,000 daily meals worldwide to meet the needs of hungry children. The attached picture shows Josephine Torrance from Mary's Meals, receiving a cheque from Gordon Fairbrother, Vice Captain of the club and Laura Robinson organiser of the raffle.
