MGC win Thomson-McCrone!

MGC clinched the Thomson McCrone League 2008 with a win at Bishopbriggs on Sunday 7th September. We all offer our congratulations to the boys for a fantastic achievement.

We beat Kilsyth  3.5 v  1.5

The league started in 1971, and Milngavie have been winners twice before in 1985 and 1996.

All the team would like to thank David Blair , Jimmy Crawford  and Tom Colvin for coming along and giving their support. We would also like to thank the members of Milngavie for all their advice and best wishes.

The Convenor of the Thomson McCrone is Jamie Murray. Jamie picks the team, makes all the phone calls and the match arrangements. The team members know only too well how much work is involved and would like to give Jamie a special mention. Everyone at the club would like to join in congratulating and thanking Jamie.
