The Burnbrae
The regulars at the Burnbrae pub in Bearsden held their annual golf tournament at Milngavie Golf Club last week in glorious weather. The Burnbrae Masters champion was Graham Shaw who scored 39 points. Second was Bob Balloch with 36 and third was Eddie Robinson with 35. Allan Forrest won the longest drive prize and Alistair Glass won the nearest the pin prize. After the tournament the players returned to the newly refurbished Burnbrae for the prize giving and suitable refreshments.

In a day of glorious weather more than 50 golfers competed for a range of prizes, with the top prize of a four ball at the Carrick being won by team 12 comprising, from left to right, Ian McFarlane from Doosan Babcock, Bob Gemmell from Doosan Babcock, Jim Martin from Wood Group, and Ian McFarlane from Wood Group, with a score of 53.4

Milngavie Club Captain, David Blair, said "We are delighted that Parc Group had such a great time at Milngavie. A score of 53.4 for a team of four who are new to the course is a considerable achievement"
From Parc Group, event organiser Cheryl Fitzsimmons commented "Our Golf Day was a huge success and it was a wonderful day, we had lots of comments on your course as well as the food and the staff were great also."
