At Milngavie, we are relaxed about the dress code on the golf course, however the sport itself does have certain rules and traditions in terms of dress which are applicable, and which as a club, we support and adhere to.

It is not for the committee to tell a player how to dress, rather we prefer to inform you what is not acceptable. All we ask is that you be smart, casual and comfortable.

Unacceptable on the Course

T-shirts or sleeveless singlets or football shirts
Shirts without collars and/or sleeves

Football or sports tops

Football or sports baseball caps
Tracksuits, leisure suits or denim tops
Garments displaying slogans or adverts
Trainers or other shoes not specifically for golf
Untailored shorts, cargo pants or denims
Ladies’ sun tops, crop-tops or beach clothes

Note:

  • Socks must be worn with shorts or skirts
  • Golf shoes must be worn by everyone aged 14+ playing golf

In the Clubhouse

There is no specific dress code for the clubhouse however we request that you respect other users, and dress appropriately for the clubhouse environment.
